Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations for services purchased on Sympo.club. This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

1. Premium Membership Subscriptions

1.1 No Refund Policy

Digital Products are Non-Refundable: As per Indian law, digital goods and services are generally non-refundable once access has been provided. Premium memberships are non-refundable after the subscription period begins.

1.2 When Refunds May Be Considered

Refunds for premium memberships will only be considered in the following exceptional cases:

  • Technical Issues: If you cannot access the service due to persistent technical problems on our end (must be reported within 48 hours)
  • Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription
  • Unauthorized Charges: If your account was compromised and charges were made without your authorization
  • Service Not Delivered: If you paid for premium but features were not activated (must be reported within 7 days)

1.3 Cancellation of Subscription

  • You can cancel auto-renewal anytime from Account Settings
  • Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund current period
  • You retain access until the end of current billing period
  • No partial refunds for unused time

1.4 How to Cancel

  1. Open Sympo app/website
  2. Go to Settings → Subscription
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm cancellation
  5. Receive confirmation email

*Annual plans may qualify for pro-rata refund only in cases of service unavailability exceeding 7 days.

2. Table Booking Reservations

2.1 Free Cancellation Policy

✓ Free Cancellation: Cancel table bookings free of charge up to 2 hours before your reservation time.

2.2 Cancellation Timeline

2.3 How to Cancel Booking

  1. Go to "My Bookings" in app/website
  2. Select the booking you want to cancel
  3. Click "Cancel Booking"
  4. Select reason for cancellation
  5. Confirm cancellation
  6. Receive confirmation and refund details

2.4 Refund Processing Time

  • UPI/Wallets: 1-2 business days
  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • Net Banking: 3-5 business days

2.5 Venue Cancellations

If the venue cancels your booking:

  • You receive 100% refund automatically
  • Bonus: ₹200 credit for next booking
  • We help you find alternative venues
  • Priority customer support

3. Event Tickets

3.1 Standard Events

  • Free cancellation: Up to 24 hours before event
  • 24 hours to event: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund
  • No-show: No refund

3.2 Special Events (Speed Dating, Mixers)

  • Free cancellation: Up to 48 hours before event
  • 48-24 hours: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund
  • These events have limited capacity; early cancellation helps others attend

3.3 Event Postponement/Cancellation by Organizer

If an event is postponed or cancelled:

  • Option 1: Transfer ticket to new date
  • Option 2: Full refund + ₹100 credit
  • You choose within 7 days of notification

4. In-App Purchases

4.1 Virtual Items

Purchases like Super Likes, Boosts, etc. are non-refundable once used.

4.2 Unused Virtual Items

  • May be eligible for refund within 48 hours
  • Must not have been used
  • Contact support with transaction ID

5. Special Circumstances

5.1 Medical Emergency

If you cannot attend due to medical emergency:

  • Provide medical certificate
  • Request within 24 hours of event/booking
  • We consider case-by-case for partial refund or credit

5.2 Natural Disasters/Force Majeure

  • Full refund if venue is inaccessible due to natural disasters
  • Includes floods, storms, lockdowns, etc.
  • Automatic processing upon verification

5.3 Account Ban/Violation

  • No refunds if account is banned for Terms violation
  • No refunds for fraudulent activity
  • No refunds for inappropriate behavior

6. Refund Process

6.1 How to Request Refund

  1. Online:
    • Go to Help Center in app
    • Select "Refund Request"
    • Fill in details and submit
  2. Email:
    • Send to: refunds@sympo.club
    • Include: Order ID, reason, proof (if applicable)
  3. Phone:
    • Call: +91 1234567890
    • Hours: Mon-Fri, 9 AM - 6 PM

6.2 Information Required

  • Full name and registered email
  • Order ID / Transaction ID
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for refund
  • Supporting documents (if claiming special circumstances)

6.3 Response Time

  • Acknowledgment: Within 24 hours
  • Review and decision: 3-5 business days
  • Refund processing: 5-10 business days after approval

6.4 Refund Method

Refunds are processed to the original payment method:

  • Same card/UPI/wallet used for payment
  • Cannot be refunded to different account
  • For closed accounts, contact support

7. Promo Codes & Discounts

7.1 Non-Refundable

  • Discount amounts are non-refundable
  • Only the amount paid is eligible for refund
  • Example: If you paid ₹500 after ₹200 discount, refund is ₹500 max

7.2 Expired Codes

  • Expired promo codes cannot be reinstated
  • Check validity before applying

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1 Disputed Charges

If you see unauthorized charges:

  1. Contact us immediately: support@sympo.club
  2. We investigate within 48 hours
  3. Unauthorized charges refunded within 7 days
  4. Account security review initiated

8.2 Chargeback Warning

⚠️ Important: Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, please contact us first. Chargebacks without prior contact may result in account suspension. We resolve most disputes quickly and fairly.

8.3 Escalation

If not satisfied with refund decision:

  • Request escalation to senior support
  • Email: complaints@sympo.club
  • Response within 48 hours
  • Final decision within 7 days

9. Consumer Rights

9.1 Your Rights Under Indian Law

As per Consumer Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • Fair trade practices
  • Protection against unfair terms
  • Seek redressal for deficiency in services
  • File complaint with Consumer Forum

9.2 Filing a Complaint

If you're not satisfied with our resolution:

  • Consumer Court: Based on transaction amount

10. Important Notes

  • All refunds are processed in Indian Rupees (INR)
  • Refund amount may differ due to currency exchange rates (for international cards)
  • Bank charges (if any) are not refundable
  • This policy does not affect your statutory rights
  • We reserve the right to refuse refunds for abuse of policy
  • Repeated cancellations may result in booking restrictions
